This paper studies the technique of bidirectional underwater communication,which is suitable for networking,to achieve the stealth,high speed and reliable communication of underwater modem;Aiming at the energy limit of underwater modem,the problem of low power consumption of water acoustic communication is solved,which makes it have a certain resistance and long life cycle.The paper introduces the implementation of hardware,software design and whole system function from the research of hydro acoustic channel characteristics.First,the simulation of different hydro logical condition of transmission losses,estimates the underwater acoustic communication system under the very high frequency and low environmental noise,system required minimum emission source level.Second,the suitable launch system and receiving system are designed for later test verification.In the receiving system,the power consumption reduced by hardware improvement and algorithm means.In the aspect of hardware,we designed the suitable low-power hardware communication platform according to the requirement.It includes low-power,low-processing dormant duty units,and low-power,higher-processing signal processing units;using TI's low-power DSP-TMS320C5505 as the system master chip,also reduced the use of hardware on the platform.Algorithm and reliable platform for the underwater acoustic communication algorithm is transplanted into low power consumption,and through the algorithm optimization,using assembly language instead of C language,and reduces the computational complexity,improves the operation speed,so as to reduce the power consumption of the whole system's function.In the launch system,the small power amplifier was redesigned.The redesign of the power amplifier clipped the TAS5706EVM2 development board,the designed basis it,which can match the suitable digital power amplifier,the corresponding drive and digital communication interface.The main technology of the TAS5706 A power amplifier circuit has the following points:The output mode of power amplifier chip TAS5706 A adopts BD mode,which is more suitable for inductive load.It uses inductive load as filter inductance and does not need output stage to add filter.Output gain adjustable.Input signal gain adjustment range:-100 d B~24d B.It can meet the demand of multiple output power.Last,test for acoustic communication performance,low-power hardware platform test and final sea test were carried out.The low-power underwater acoustic communicationplatform in the tank test,measured out the electrical power consumption of power amplifier is9.87W@7k Hz,16.45W@8k Hz,consumption of DSP is 75.3m W,the performance indicators meet the requirements,the overall system test has reached the expected goal.
