Mesh model deformation editing is an important part of digital geometry processing.New geometry can be quickly obtained by editing the mesh model,which provides a new method for designers to design new models and greatly improves the efficiency of geometric model design.Deformation transfer,as a sample-based geometric modeling technique,takes advantage of deformation between the different poses to force the source mesh to deform similarly.Unlike deformation transfer,spectral pose transfer requires only one pose of the reference model,and greatly extends its scope of application.At the present,the spectral pose transfer is mainly performed between the triangular mesh models,but rarely applies to polygonal mesh models.Quadrilateral mesh model,as a representative of polygonal mesh model,is a very important geometric model representation method,and has its own advantages in texturing,finite element simulation,CAD/CAM,computer animation and other fields.Based on spectral pose transfer between triangle meshes,this paper studies spectral pose transfer for polygonal meshes in order to manipulate more types of meshes,mainly including triangle mesh and quadrilateral mesh.This paper first introduces Laplacian matrix on polygonal meshes,analyzes its spectrum and eigenvectors,and the code implementation of Laplace smoothing and reconstruction for polygonal meshes is implemented on this basis.Secondly,we discuss functional mappings and feature correspondence of mesh models in the case of polygonal mesh model.In addition,the functional matrix,harmonic basis and coupled quasi-harmonic basis are visualized.Finally,we design and implement respectively ordinary pose transfer,spectral pose transfer based on coupled quasi-harmonic basis.Experimental results show that spectral pose transfer designed in this paper can be applied to triangular meshes and quadrilateral meshes.
