The electromagnetic spectrum is a natural resource with limited range.All radio communications use a part of electromagnetic spectrum to transmit information and energy.With rapid development of new technologies and radio communication services,the contradiction between the limited range and the surge demand of electromagnetic spectrum has become increasingly prominent.It is a key factor to make sure different radio communication networks won't interface each other with a more effective and efficient way of spectrum management.The electromagnetic spectrum monitoring system can collect and calculate the electromagnetic spectrum distribution within a certain space,and provide a data foundation for spectrum management.There's a significantly different between the spectrum monitoring system and the wireless communication system,usually,the spectrum monitoring technology works in a non-coordinate and unknown environment.To meet the needs of different environments,the technical system,work mode,data interface of the spectrum monitoring system are quite different.Therefore,to design an electromagnetic spectrum monitoring software which can adapt a variety of technical systems,different data interfaces and with strong scalability is of great importance for enhancing the spectrum management efficiency,as well as reducing the system maintenance costs.This thesis explains how to design a set of electromagnetic spectrum monitoring software which could process and monitor the data of electromagnetic spectrum of a certain area,using a hardware system consists of various types of sensors,network equipment,and computers.Firstly,I analyze the characteristics of electromagnetic spectrum monitoring system both in China and many other countries.Then I analyze the technical system and processing algorithms of multiple spectrum monitoring equipment,and simulate these data with the means of MATLAB.Finally,I use the software engineering methods for requirement analysis,overall design,detailed design,code realization and software test.During the design and realization process,I mainly focus on the system adaptability and scalability requirements,use varieties of object-oriented design patterns,integrate message bus,MATLAB and other commercial components,and accomplish the original design goals efficiently.
