Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET)is widely used in many fields such as vehicular ad hoc network,disaster relief and wildlife monitoring.MANET routing protocols are usually designed for fully connected environments.However,it poses a great challenge to the design of routing protocols because of the mobility of nodes.If network occurs intermittent interruption in extreme environment,the performance of MANET will decrease drastically.Delay tolerant network solves the routing problem in the intermittent connection scenario by adopting the store-carry-forward routing way.However,the DTN architecture increases the Bundle interface,it causes excessive consumption of network resources in full connectivity.In practice,many network environments often have showing a connection diversity characteristic.In this thesis,we design and implement a protocol for such a network environment.In this thesis,we analyzed DTN routing mechanism and proposes the traditional MANET routing protocol with store-carry-forward mechanism.The SCFP protocol designs a new routing metric for all connection scenarios,taking full account of the link latency in the fully connected scenario,the storage capacity of the nodes,and the latency of the next contact between nodes in an intermittent scenario.In the process of data forwarding,the SCFP protocol adopts the opportunistic route to avoid the fluctuation of the network and improve the reliability of the data transmission by abandoning the determined next-hop routing mode by the traditional MANET network.In the case of network intermittent interruption,SCFP store the data on the network layer.The data can be retransmitted when the network is resumed.Finally,this thesis realizes the SCFP protocol on the testbed and NS2.In the fully connected and intermittent connected scenario,the performance of SCFP protocol is tested and compared with DSR,OLSR,IBR-DTN.At the same time,the SCFP protocol is simulated by NS2 simulation platform.The experimental results show that the SCFP protocol can achieve higher throughput than the DTN network routing protocol in the fully connected scenario,which can improve the delivery rate in the intermittent connection scenario compared to the MANET routing protocol.
