The Application Technology Research Of Panoramic Image Stitching

The objective of panoramic image stitching technology is to make many images of small angle ranges into an image containing all information of the small angle range images,which gives people a feeling of being personally on the scene.The information acquistion and management of investment projects system could show real estate developers the information of the construction of the regional real estate development.At first,this paper makes the collected images into a panoramic image,and then shows real estate developers the progress of the project.In view of the information acquistion and management of investment projects system,this paper makes a deep study of the panoramic image stitching technology.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,this paper introduces the splicing process of the whole system,including image acquistion,image preprocessing,image registration,image fusion and the output of panoramic image.It also determines the method of image acquistion and image preprocessing which will be used in this paper under the information acquistion and management of investment projects system.Secondly,this paper determines to use panoramic image registration and fusion algorithm based on features.At the beginning of this part,this paper introduces the most classic SIFT algorithm,and then raises a faster method,SURF algorithm.Through comparing the two methods,it determines to use SURF algorithm as the method of feature point extraction.And then it introduces the correlation methods of feature points first-matching,the purification of matched points,image transformation,image fusion and the output of panoramic image.Finally,based on the determined methods in the process of panoramic image stitching,by using C++ language,this paper shows the result image of many images stitching,realizing the cylindrical panoramic image stitching in the horizontal direction of 360 degrees with no splicing gap.This paper also designs Web pages for the image acquistion system of investment project using HTML language and makes the result stitching image into a dynamic display.Besides,a panoramic image stitching mobile software based on Android called PhotoStitching has been designed to be used in this project.Using this mobile software,userscould take photos through the camera of the android mobile,and then realize the cylindrical panoramic image stitching in the horizontal direction of 360 degrees.
