With the continuous development of digital signal processing technology,Digital signal processing technology has become more and more important in the field of marine resources exploration and underwater positioning.In order to meet the application requirements,The major manufacturers have launched some high performance digital signal processors.Nowadays,the single core processor core frequency can reach 1.25 GHz,with rich resources on chip.However,with the increasing complexity of digital signal processing’s algorithm,the previous single core processor has been difficult to meet the complex algorithm’s demand for processor frequency,Data throughput and the massive data storage.In addition to the requirements of processor performance,the characteristics of underwater acoustic equipment currently has a tendency to miniaturization,low power consumption and modular,so using high speed processing system module based on multi core DSP is an inevitable trend.According to the development trend of acoustic equipment and digital signal processor performance requirements,this paper selects Ti’s high performance dual core DSP processor TMS320C6657 to achieve a good versatility and high performance signal processing module.The main work of this paper as follows:First of all,using TMS320C6657 as the main processor,designing the overall scheme of signal processing module.Secondly,according to the design scheme of the system put forward,designing the hardware circuits.First,designing 8 kinds of power supply circuit.Second,designing DDR3,NAND FLASH,NOR FLASH and EEPROM hardware circuits.Third,designing all kinds of communication interface design in the module,such as JTAG,UART,Gigabit Ethernet and Mini USB.Fourth,Fourth,writing the Verilog configuration program for programmable clock chip selection.Finally,completing the TMS320C6657’s communication interface software,such as UART,uPP and Ethernet etc.Designing multi-core DSP inter core communication mode,using the IPC interrupt mode completes dual core DSP two kernel inter core communication and parallel processing of different tasks.
