The monopulse technique used to measure the arrival direction of signals has important application value in both military and civilian fields.In this paper,we focus on the design of monopulse antenna to develop research,and the main work in this paper includes the following aspects:1)The theoretical knowledge associated with the design of monopulse antenna is described in detail in this paper,including the basic principle of microstrip antenna,the theory of printed dipole antenna,theoretical basis of the feed network,fundamental theory of array antenna,monopulse technology theory and so on,which provides important theoretical basis for research,design and analysis of monopulse antenna.2)A two element monopulse integrated antenna for rocket launcher is designed.In this design,two fully symmetric folding antenna units are arranged in the internal of the annular antenna radome,and the ring form sum-difference network is fixed at the bottom of the radome,finally,the antenna and the sum-difference network are connected together by a fine coaxial line.Adopting integrated design,the whole structural strength and electrical performance indicators are guaranteed.3)An eight-element monopulse antenna is designed.The design of antenna element to the design of array mode are discussed in detail,including the spacing of the array elements,the number of array elements,the side lobe suppression and the form of the reflector,etc..The structure of the array antenna is determined of eight-element wideband printed dipole array,and the unit element separation distance is set to be the half of the wavelength corresponding to the center frequency.Using Taylor weighting for the feed of antenna ports,and adopting the arc groove reflector for enlarging scanning angle.The feed network is composed of an annular coupler and an unequal distribution Wilkinson power divider,which placed at the bottom of the reflector.Processing and testing,it is shown that the measured result is in good agreement with the simulation result.4)Design and simulation of two-dimensional monopulse antenna and the corresponding sum-difference network.The two-dimensional monopulse antenna is based on four feed,composed of 16 microstrip printed dipole antenna elements and the sidelobe suppression of the sum beam is enhanced by unequal amplitude feed to the 4 antenna elements of each feed.Generating sum signal,azimuth difference signal and pitch difference signal,the sum and difference network is composed of 4 unequal Wilkinson power dividers and 4 broadband 3dB quadrature couplers.The simulation results show that the performance of the whole two dimensional monopulse antenna is high.
