Owing to the wide spread use of the Internet,digital information pertaining to human activity has been increasing exponentially,and we have fully entered the big data era.As an important medium of information dissemination,the media always record the global events.Based on the analysis of massive media data,we can explore the complex patterns of human behavior and the basic laws behind some social phenomena.Therefore,it is of great value to build a massive media data analysis platform.GDELT(Global Database of Events,Location,and Tone)and GTD(Global Terrorism Database)provide massive media data for research.To maximize the value of the big data,the use of complex science to analyze big data is considered a promising way.This paper analyzes the global hotspots,the persistence and severity of global terrorism and the dynamic evolution of multinational relation's network in South China Sea arbitration respectively based on the relative entropy,random fractal theory,complex network and information entropy.The massive media data analysis platform based on Python's Django framework,using the MVC design pattern.In the platform design,including the platform of the service object and model,feasibility analysis,demand analysis,architecture design and database design.In the platform implementation,the platform is deployed in the Apache server,the front end of the framework is the Bootstrap framework,using jQuery,Echarts,CartoDB API,Baidu map API and other technologies to achieve the visualization of each functional modules interface.
