In recent years,with the rapid development of computer application and human-computer interaction technology,the application related with augmented reality(AR)display technology is booming in both domestic and international markets.Smart glasses,smart helmets and others also have sprung up.However,AR display devices applied on the business domain are still in the initial stage and the standardization has just carried out.Therefore,the image quality evaluation of AR devices has important research significance.In this study,the research project on image quality of the glasses AR display devices is proposed.The estimation of its image quality can be achieved from cognitive performance,display efficiency,visual fatigue,etc.Subjective and objective experiments are used to evaluate the performance of devices in this study.The detailed introduction is as following:the accuracy and reaction time during information reading is tested by the methods of task performance;display quality is evaluated through subjective evaluation;visual comfort and fatigue are obtained by the combined method of subjective evaluation and physiological measurement.Finally,the results obtained are as follows.Cognitive performance of AR display system is better with moderate display brightness,but display performance is better when the brightness is higher in the daylighting situation.In the night environment,the higher display brightness has better cognitive and display performance,but exorbitant display brightness and the corresponding contrast will cause side effects leading to cognitive performance decline.Green information has the best cognitive and display performance followed by red and blue information.In addition,subjective fatigue feeling increases and the eyes sensitivity on the light with instantaneous change decreases after using AR display devices.In the meantime,relative accommodation of the eyes decreases,near point of accommodation and near point of convergence become further and the dryness of eye also increases obviously.In this study,EPSON Moverio BT200 is used as the main research object and the features of this technology are obtained by the research of applications of AR display devices.Thus,the main technical parameters applied to the glasses AR display devices in the field of user experience are proposed,the evaluation criteria of AR display device's is enriched and evaluation index is established and improved by the help of this method.The influencing factors of the equipment effects are verified with experiments in this study,which is complementary to glasses AR display devices in the academic field and provide reference for the production design and marketing of wearable devices.
