The first generation and the second generation of mobile communication system mainly provides audio call services,and with the advancement of technology,video calls and various Internet applications have been implemented in the third and the fourth generation of mobile communication systems.Along with the diversification of services,mobile terminals need to carry more and more difficult tasks,in the field of mobile phone antenna design,multi-frequency,miniaturization technology and MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output)technology have become a focus of research at home and abroad.Microstrip antenna with the advantages of small volume light weight low profile and planar structure,has become a main selection in the design of mobile phone antenna.And the miniaturization and multifrequency design technology of microstrip antennas are becoming more and more mature.With the publication of MIMO theory,both the increasing of channel capacity and the increasing of efficiency of spectrum utilization have been theoretically supported,MIMO technology can make the channel capacity of wireless communication improved greatly while maintaining the original frequency resource and emission power.The combination of the above two technologies will lay a solid foundation for the development of mobile phone antenna.The main research work of this thesis is to design a MIMO antenna unit that can be used in mobile phone terminals with microstrip antennas miniaturized multi-frequency design technology,and to find a way to reduce the mutual couple between MIMO antenna units.First,we designed a compact monopole antenna whith double-sided pairedstrip structure,the antenna can work in four frequency bands.Then,modeling and simulation has been done in HFSS simulation analysis software,and the influence of mobile phone shell and hand model on antenna performance has been studied.On this basis,two monopole antennas are used as antenna units to form the MIMO mobile antenna system,and the low coupling and high isolation of the two antenna units are realized by adopting unequal length floor grooving.The significance of this thesis is to use suitable technologies to design a MIMO antenna that can serve for the fourth generation of mobile communication system.At the same time,it has certain reference significance for other forms of MIMO mobile phone antenna design.
