Supercontinuum(referred to as SC)spectrum light source have wide spectrum,high brightness and good coherence characteristics,so it is widely used in scientific research field like spectrum detection,WDM optical communication system,optical switch and biomedical etc...The technical application in the infrared region including infrared sensing,species identification,food quality control,pollutant monitoring etc...The organic compounds in the infrared region almost all show different spectral traces which can reveal their chemical structures,so in recent years researchers have focused on the study of mid-infrared SC spectrum light source.In this paper,the preparation of environmentally friendly Ge-Sb-Se step-index fiber is used as the research object,and the mid-infrared SC spectrum generation in the fiber is the main research purpose.Through the combination of theory and experiment,the mechanism of mid-infrared SC spectrum generation is studied deeply,and the high quality SC spectrum is finally obtained.The dispersion of the fiber is simulated by Lumerical Mode Solution software,and the influence of SC spectrum broadening on fiber is simulated by Matlab software.The experimental study mainly adopts the mechanical drilling method and the rod-in-tube method for the preparation of fiber preform,as well as using Optical Parametric Amplifier(referred to as OPA)laser pumping chalcogenide glass fiber for the production of an ultra-wide infrared SC spectrum.The structure of the paper is as follows:The first chapter summarizes the development history,application prospect and the latest research progress of the mid-infrared SC spectrum,and puts forward the content and the significance of this paper.The second chapter introduces the generation mechanism of SC spectrum.Starting from Maxwell's equations,we obtain the generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation,and the effects of dispersion and nonlinear effects on the SC spectrum are also analyzed.The third chapter is the experimental part,which describes in detail the experimental process of the preparation of chalcogenide glass,the instrument and equipment,and the test methods of glass samples.The fourth chapter is about the preparation and properties of novel Ge-Sb-Se chalcogenide glass fiber.The fiber is fabricated by rod-in-tube method,where the core and the cladding glasses consist of Ge15Sb25Se60 and Ge15Sb20Se65,and the near field energy distribution and fiber loss of Ge-Sb-Se chalcogenide fiber are analyzed.In the fifth chapter studied the output characteristics of SC spectrum,and analyze the influence of different input power and pump wavelength on the SC spectrum,and compared with the theoretical simulation.The last chapter is the summary of the whole paper,and illustrates the lack of research work.
