With the continuous development of mobile communication technology,mobile communication service payload and network traffic are showing explosive growth trends,the traditional cellular access network architecture has gradually lost its advantage.Therefore,the concept and architecture of centralized access network which can adapt to the new environment in the future,with high performance and low cost,emerges as the times require.Institute of Computing Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences has proposed Super base station(Super BS)network architecture,belonging to the centralized access network architecture.Through the application of base station virtualization,it provides a good foundation for base station processing resource sharing and flexible distribution,so as to reduce the cost of base station construction and maintenance.Therefore,the thesis is based on the protocol processing entity virtualization research in the base station processing resources,specific contents are as follows:(1)Aiming at the problem that the KVM protocol processing resource virtualization platform is not convenient to manage the protocol processing entity running in it,this thesis manages the virtualization platform through the research of upper management tools Virt-manager and OpenStack,and does the evaluation of the two key indicators virtual platform loss and load by the use of test tools with different characteristics.The results show that the KVM virtualization technology can meet the performance requirement of the super base station on the protocol processing resource platform virtualization.(2)As for the problem that the traditional test tools can hardly include the complete protocol stack characteristics,this thesis designs a test program which can fully reflect the characteristics of the protocol stack based on the non-connection oriented algorithm.The program consists of two parts: the user's benchmark program and the base station side protocol stack software.All the information that is needed to be maintained in the actual protocol stack was considered in this paper,the base station uplink receiving process was also simulated,at last,the effect of the proposed program is verified on the platform.(3)Aiming at the problem of long time consuming and packet loss in the dynamic migration of virtual processing platform,Considering the characteristics of communication service,this thesis established a migration cost model based on KVM pre-copy algorithm.This model mainly considers frequent amount change of dirty pages and reduces the dirty pages by the method of adding the shared storage device to the system.Test results in the super base station environment show that the new architecture can alleviate the Live-migration problem of time-consuming and packet loss to a certain extent.
