Wearable devices have been more and more popular thanks to their intimate interactions with users, which leads to high productivities of wearable devices by different manufacturers, such as Apple Watch by Apple Inc.,Samsung Gear by Samsung Inc.,Moto 360 by Motorola Inc.,etc.Meanwhile,in order to keep up with the latest trends, developers are attracted to develop various applications for different wearable devices, which causes inefficiency in adapting different platforms. This raises the problem to solve in this thesis: cross-platform developments for wearable deveices,is it feasible?Intuitively inspired by some classic solutions to cross-platform developments for mobile deveices, such as Apache Cordova[5],React Native[8]and NativeScript[2]that are mostly based on JavaScript,a similar approach will be adopted to solve the problem.Note that the JavaScript engine is mostly integrated insile mobile platforms instead of a greate majority of wearable platforms, thus it can be more difficult to execute JavaScript code within a wearable platform.Nonetheless, the ability of communication between wearable devices and their encountered mobile devices comes in handy at this point: JSON-RPC protocol[6],the remote procedure call protocol encoded in JSON[9],will be adopted to implement remote control in this thesis. Therefore, this thesis introduces a feasible way to implement cross-platform developments for wearable devices based on JSON-RPC protocol. As this proposal is not only applicable to wearable devices but also to most scenarios for remote control among multiple devices,it can be assumed that our proposal has a pratical application value.
