The method which optimize the size of antenna with the PSO algorithm wasted too much time on calculating the results with the HFSS software.It also required high-performance computers to finish the task,so it made limits on the design of antennas with complex structure.In order to apply the method on the antennas with different function and working frequency,this article made combination between the Gaussian Process and PSO algorithm and used the method on the design and optimization of antennas.It turned out that the antenna optimized with the method can achieve the design target.Compared with method which combined the PSO algorithm with the HFSS software,the GP-PSO method had large advantage on optimization time.The main researches of the article were as follow:1.Introduced the implementation and evaluation method of Gaussian Process by the example of side-feed rectangle micro-strip antenna.It showed that Gaussian Process is able to predict the frequency characteristic of this antenna accurately.2.Introduced the thought of the GP-PSO method and comparing with method which combined the PSO algorithm with the HFSS software on time.It proved that the GP-PSO method has large advantage on optimization time.3.Carried on Gaussian Process modeling on the frequency characteristic of printed dipole antenna.It solved Gaussian Process modeling problem which the antenna has requirement on bandwidth.Then the article combined the Gaussian Process with PSO algorithm and optimized some size of the printed dipole antenna.The method also reduced the optimization time sharply which proved that the method is able to solve the bandwidth problem in relatively narrow band well.4.Carried on Gaussian Process modeling on the frequency characteristic of GPS and BeiDou dual-mode antenna.It solved Gaussian Process modeling problem which the antenna has requirement on specific frequency points in relatively narrow band.The high-accuracy Gaussian Process model is established.Then the article combined the Gaussian Process with PSO algorithm and optimized some size of the GPS and BeiDou dual-mode antenna.The method also reduced the optimization time sharply which proved that the method is able to solve specific frequency point problem in relatively narrow band well.5.Carried on Gaussian Process modeling on the frequency characteristic of double-ridged horn antenna.It solved Gaussian Problem modeling problem of broadband antenna.The high-accuracy Gaussian Process model is established.Then the article combined the Gaussian Process with PSO algorithm and optimized some size of the double-ridged horn antenna.The method also reduced the optimization time sharply which proved that the method is able to solve problem in wide band well.
