With the integration and miniaturization trend of the current optical devices,the resonant optical tunneling resonator shows great research value in the performance improvement of micro nano optical devices,because its some advantages of micro volume,high integration,high quality factor(Q)and strong local of the light field.And it also shows great development potential in areas of optical switch,optical refractive sensor and so on.After investigating the research status of typical optical resonators at domestic and overseas,the resonant optical tunneling effect in the resonator is studied by using the combining methods of theoretical derivation and simulation,then the transmission mechanism of resonant optical tunneling effect is analyzed in detail and applied to optical acceleration sensor.The multilayer dielectric optical transmission theory based on transfer matrix method(TMM)is studied firstly,then it is applied to the theory derivation and transmission characteristics analysis of resonant optical tunneling effect.Among them,a detailed discussion of the incident wavelength,polarization state,tunneling layer thickness and cavity width of ROTE structure are carried out in the influence of the transmission characteristics.Then,the optical simulation software FDTD Solutions based on the finite difference time domain method(FDTD)is introduced,and is used to establish the physical simulation model of ROTE structure.Through the simulation analysis,the influence of different polarization and tunneling layer thickness on the transmission spectrum and the intensity of standing wave in the resonant cavity are discussed in detail,which further deepens the understanding of the resonant optical tunneling effect.The ROTE structure is applied to the design of optical sensor,and a optical acceleration sensor with high Q value is proposed.By using the COMSOL software,the performance simulations of the accelerometer are carried out.The results show that the Q value of the sensor can reach 8.857×107,the measurement range is ±130g,the sensitivity is 9pm/g,the work bandwidth is10–1500 Hz.The sensor provides a new idea and method for improving the resolution performance and measurement range of integrated optical acceleration sensor,which has broad application prospects.
