With the rapid development of Internet and popularization of intelligent electronic devices,vast amount of information is distributed,transmitted and updated in the Internet.In the face of such a large amount of data and changing update demand,the traditional methods with file record to transfer information no longer meet people requirements,as a result,information application systems which present and disseminate information in the form of web pages in the Internet arise.The study on page and content management of information application system a hotspot of current Internet application research.Based on the research of relevant technology and design innovation,research on a new page management system to make the maintenance and management on page and content more convenient and efficient is undoubtedly of great significance.In this paper,the page management system is based on B/S architecture,adopting the client-server oriented mode programming framework EIO which is proposed and realized by Prof.Qi Deyu in Institute of Computer System Research in South China University of Technology.Following the EIO design thought,the system treats all the elements constituting the page view as resource in a uniform way,realizes the dynamic load of page elements adopting the method of resource extraction and injection,and manages all the resources by indexing to locate and modify resources accurately.When the front ends request for data of large amout,the system utilizes data caching to reduce the frequency of communication between the client and server,which balances the performance expenses of client and server,making the client with increasingly outstanding performance more “fatter” and server with heavier load more “thinner”.According to the object-oriented thought,this paper redefines the “column” layer between the page level and basic widget level.The combination of multiple basic widget forms “column” with specific function,and a page consists of one or more such “column” combination,which is beneficial for page function extension and overall reuse of multiple basic controls,as a result of which,the page management becomes more flexible and system development with object-oriented methodology gets more adaptable.This thesis makes a profound analysis on the construction demand and realization mechanism of page management system,provides design specification of page model and relevant design specification of system data model,and realizes a page management system prototype.The prototype system achieves favourable performance with characteristics like content management of multi-source information and WYSIWYG page editing management.In the following step,combining with above design specification,pages with various funtions can be designed through the combination from the basic widgets to “column” and then to page level.
