The glass screen,used as the windows and circuit operation computing devices of smartphones,VR,wearable devices,and the human-machine exchanging,has been used in a large number of various industries like electron,aviation,car,entertainment,mobile phone.Traditionally,a mechanical grinding was employed to perform the cutting of glass screen using a diamond grinding wheel.The mass production brings out the difficulty to recycle cooling fluid and the environmental problems such as waste glass materials and mechanical energy consumption.At present,a V-shape WC or PCD wheel is employed to scribe and separate the glass plate through the crack propagation in mechanical cutting processing.However,the processing leads to the cracks on cut surface,and the cut glass edges need to be toughened.This article uses Finite Element Analysis,based on the related factors of micro-crack extension mechanism.Stress distribution inside the glass was analyzed when wheel contact with the glass using finite element.Glass cutting process was analyzed from wheel Angle,cutting roller press,cutting stress to investigate the change and distribution of the principal stress.Glass cutting process and distribution of the primary principal stress generating by wheel movement on the glass are studied in detail.Results display that the greater wheel angle is,the lower probability of cutting,level crack is the amount of press into glass has no influence on generating horizontal crack.In addition,the change of cutting pressure affects horizontal cracks generating,and when the stress reaches the critical state,the horizontal crack changes dramatically.In addition,the glass white piece has put into glass steel water with the fastest speed to prevent explosion.Glass heating process in glass chemical tempered technology was designed;then cancelling the preheating process in its traditional toughened process was analyzed;finally,the toughened glass performance was tested.Analysis results show that toughened glass performance was different using preheating and no preheating.Generally,the product performance can reach the requirements.In addition,satisfying certain conditions and toughened glass does not come from explosion putting into potassium nitrate without preheating.Hence,the toughened glass with cancelling the pre-processing step is feasible.
