With the development of industrial technology,the traditional float type,resistance type,capacitance type displacement sensor has been unable to meet the requirements of displacement measurement.The modern industry has put forward higher requirements for the detection of displacement sensor.Not only does it meet the needs of high accuracy and a large range,but also it achieves a multi parameter measurement.Magnetostrictive displacement sensor has the characteristics of wide application range,high accuracy,no contact,a large range of measurement,high reliability and strong anti-interference in bad environment,So it is widely used in the field of modern industrial displacement.Therefore,the study of magnetostrictive displacement sensor has very important significance.Firstly,it's introduced that the background and significance of magnetostrictive displacement sensor,the development history,present situation and future development prospect of the domestic and international development in this paper.At the same time,it is compared with the displacement sensors which are commonly used in the modern industry,which shows the characteristics of the new displacement sensor.Then,based on the magnetostrictive effect and the law of electromagnetic induction,the principle of magnetostrictive displacement sensor is introduced,and then the output voltage model of the displacement sensor under the action of the helical magnetic field is derived with the theory of material mechanics and elastic mechanics.According to the working principle of the sensor,the structure design of magnetostrictive displacement sensor is carried out,and the parameters of the sensor's waveguide wire material,echo pick-up coil parameter,pulse current parameter,and moving magnet are determined.Secondly,the finite element simulation software is used to simulate the axial magnetic field and circumferential magnetic field of the sensor,and the optimized parameters are determined,which makes the magnetic field in the waveguide optimized.Finally,on the basis of the structure design,the prototype of magnetostrictive displacement sensor is made,The static experiment of the prototype,such as linearity,repeatability,hysteresis,is carried out,the results show that the prototype can achieve the expected goal.The work in this paper provides a theoretical reference for the design of high performance magnetostrictive displacement sensor,and supply the conditions and guidance for the future research.
