With the social progress and the rapid development of science and technology,mobile communication technology has also got faster development,it has also changed people's lifestyles and provided a great convenience to people's lives in promoting the rapid development of social economic.However,the scale of the mobile communications network gets more and more large,the structure gets more and more complex and the kinds of network's products become more and more diverse when the mobile communications bringing convenience to people,so strengthening the network management becomes more and more important than before.OMC,the network management product developed by mobile communication equipment R & D units themselves,manage the many network equipments,such as ENB(evolved NodeB,the base station in 4G)and so on.At present,the main communication equipment R& D units in our country should not only provide their communication device to operators,but also strengthen the ability of managing their own communication device when they competing with others in the market.According to the request of China Mobile Communications Enterprise Standard ? The technical specification of OMC for system function in mobile network GSM/TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE?,the number of cell managed by OMC should not less than 10,000(according to an ENB has 3 cell,mobile communication equipment R & D units usually provide one or two real base stations for OMC testing in their laboratory test environment,it cannot meet the request of enterprise standard,and also cannot launch pressure testing using large scale network elements for OMC especially.So this thesis puts forward a method using the ENB simulator help completing the OMC's test.Firstly,this thesis introduce the telecommunications network management system,OMC's network architecture,the protocol and method of communicating between OMC and ENB,then,the thesis summarize the functions ENB should achieve and other non-functional requirements after analyzing OMC's functional requirements.Secondly,the thesis designs the ENB simulator from the overall architecture.The thesis mainly focuses on the design and implementation of the start-up module,alarm module and configuration changes module ofthe simulator,and puts forward an algorithm of reporting alarms based on alarm's priority at the alarm module.Besides,we also design a tool that can batchly build ENB network elements to facilitate the use of testers.Finally,we test the ENB simulator by using OMC.The final test results show that the simulator can successfully create the environment that hundreds of ENBs accessing OMC at the same time,and the ENB simulator can report alarms and configuration change information according to its own settings,By using this method,we can restitute complex outfield environment in manufacturers' laboratory and meet the OMC's test requirements.
