The system of determining orientation is mainly used sound signals to locate the target,the system processes the received sound signal and locates the target's location by calculating the data.The existing sound localization technique has some disadvantages,such as the poor real-time,low positioning accuracy and high sensitivity for the reverberation etc,in order to solve these problems,this paper designs the system of determining orientation based on ARM.It focuses on the hardware circuit design and software design,the main work and achievements are summarized as follows:1.Through the analysis and study of method of determining orientation,this paper puts forward the overall design scheme of the system.According to the system's requirements for sound signal quality and computation,it chooses electret microphone and planar microphones array structure.This system selects the generalized cross-correlation time delay estimate algorithm after comparing and analyzing the existing determining orientation's methods.And it describes the algorithmic model of four-element microphones array,derives the calculative formula of target location and improves the algorithm of determining orientation.According to the requirements of real-time positioning,positioning accuracy and the speed of processor,the STM32F103RBT6 microprocessor is used to complete the data processing and calculation,and LCD 1602 is used as a liquid crystal display device.2.In the hardware circuit design,this paper adopts the low-power design,mainly including the peripheral processor module design,signal processing module design,liquid crystal display module design,power module design.3.In the software design,this paper uses the Real View MDK as development tool,also the STM 32 standard peripheral library functions.And it mainly completes the system initialization,the main program design,the liquid crystal display program design and the realization of the algorithm of determining orientation.After the completion of system hardware and software design,it needs completehardware circuit board's welding and hardware and software's debugging.The system is tested in the indoor environment of relatively stable experimental conditions,after the experiment,it analyzes the measurement.The experiment results show that the system of determining orientation based on ARM can operate normally and determining error is maintained in the range of 4%~7%,and it can meet the requirements of different frequency sound signal's orientation identification,and it has good real-time performance and high application value.
