| The chief editor of Tencent Wang Yongzhi referred in the 10 Predictions of Future Media that most of media workers will lose their jobs between 2017 and 2018.This viewpoint has aroused an ardent discussion among the media field.In the early 2013,the media felt pretty regretful when the Shanghai Evening Post which belongs to the Shanghai Press announced to stop publication.However,people are get used to this kind of phenomenon until today.Within the publication stop,the transformation of broadcast and the development of Internet,New Media,Live Broadcast,VR and short video,unconsciously,the media field that we used to knowing has already changed a lot.Meanwhile,as the bond of fostering talents in journalism and communication activities,the department of Journalism and Communication set in universities undertakes the main mission of fostering talents in journalism and communication activities.It has been six years since the major of Master of Journalism and Communication enrolled their own students in 2011.During this time,the programs of Master of Journalism and Communication has risen from the first 48 programs to 103 programs in 2015.However,the fast development of Master of Journalism and Communication led to problems such as homogenization,totalization,simplification,and improperness in setting credits,which leads to troubles that graduates cannot adapt to the society and find the proper jobs.How to foster talents in journalism and communication,what kind of system can enable them to meet the need of society,and give full play to their full value? This topic will be mainly discussed in this paper.The Missouri Method is widespread in the education field of Journalism and Communication and it also deeply influenced the whole world today.What is it? What influence has it brought to the Journalism and Communication in the whole world and China? How does it give enlightenment to the sustainable development of Chinese Journalism and Communication education? On the basis of analyzing the Missouri Method through Constructivism Theory,analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of fostering talents of Journalism and Communication among three domestic key journalism universities,combining the needs of talents of Journalism and Communication from society,reformative suggestions will be put forward to meet the needs of the sustainable development on fostering talents of Journalism and Communication.By analyzing the current situation of the three respective journalism universities and learning the excellent experience from The Missouri School of Journalism,and then via the Constructivism Theory,suggestions will be put forward on realizing the sustainable development about fostering talents of Journalism and Communication.Firstly,optimizing the course system,giving full play to the students on their subjective initiative.Secondly,adjusting the speciality,optimizing the mode of teaching.Thirdly,perfecting the practice system,enable the accumulated experience be implemented.At last,realizing the win-win cooperation within balancing the unique characteristics at the same time. |
