With greater scale of integrated circuits,IP cores of SOC integration are increasing accordingly.How to improve communication capacity among multiple IP cores is an important factor to determine its overall performance.As the best solution to above mentioned problems,network on chip(NoC)is characterized by high bandwidth,scalability and parallelism etc.As communication routing nodes in NoC,node data access controller(NDAC)is mainly responsible for receiving and forwarding data in NoC and guaranteeing data transmission efficiency and accuracy.Therefore,NDAC is an important part of whole data path of NoC and chip.This paper conducted design and verification aiming at NDAC and data access path based on some multi-core processor M-X DSP project in the school.The main works and innovation points were as follows:1?Based on clarification on overall structure of M-X DSP,this paper conducted detailed analysis on design demands of NDAC so as to acquire the best design parameter of NDAC.Further,this paper provided demand analysis on overall structure of NDAC and verification of system-level data access path.2?This paper completed detailed design of NDAC including circuit structure of data request path,data return path and configuration path and then used System Verilog language to build universal verification platform so as to conduct coverage-driven function verification on NDAC.The verification results indicated that code coverage rate and function point coverage rate achieved 100% with correct design function.3?This paper carried out system-level function verification on whole data access path of NDAC in M-X DSP.The fully random verification platform of active device and objects being accessed was established by analyzing whole design characteristics and verification demands of system data path to generate constrained random motivation.Meanwhile,reference model of data access path was established to achieve random strolling of motivation and automatic comparison of verification results and improve comprehensiveness and efficiency of verification significantly.The results indicated that this verification platform can verify system data path efficiently.
