The chaotic photonic reservoir-computing(RC)is a nonlinear neural network system composed of optoelectronic devices.The input signal is mapped into the high dimensional space by nonlinear nodes such as the laser or the modulator of the RC system.Only through the training processes can RC achieve a variety of tasks such as pattern recognition and sequence prediction.As a new scheme for optical signal processing,the chaotic photonic RC has the advantages of simple realization,low training complexity and parallel computing.Therefore,it has great application prospect in optical information processing.In this thesis,the dynamical behaviors of the optical feedback chaotic RCs are analyzed and the optical packet header recognition tasks(3 bits~32 bits)are investigated numerically.Main contents in this thesis are as follows:(1)The mathematical model of the optical feedback chaotic RC system is established.Internal parameters such as the feedback strength factor k,feedback delay ? and external parameters such as the sampling rate S,the virtual node number N,the packet header signal-to-noise ratio SNR are optimized.Different lengths(3bits~32bits)optical packet header recognition tasks are investigated based on the proposed RC system.The normalized root mean square error(NRMSE)and word error rate(WER)of 3 bit-header recognition are 0.1083 and 0.The NRMSE and WER of 32 bit-header recognition are 0.2044 and 0.75%.(2)Based on the dynamic model of the optical feedback chaotic RC system,the influence between recognition result and feedback strength in two orthogonal polarization directions is analyzed.Numerical results show that in polarization maintained optical feedback(PMOF)state can this RC get optimal recognition results.(3)The parallel optical feedback RC based on the semiconductor ring laser(SRL),the parallel optical feedback RC based on the directly modulated laser(DML)and the parallel RC based on the mutual coupling optoelectronic feedback(OEF)system are proposed to identify optical packet headers.Each RC's mathematical model is established and its parameters are optimized.Different lengths(3bits~32bits)optical packet header recognition tasks from two paths are investigated to show the effectiveness and feasibility of RC systems.
