In the modern national defence,military,industrial production,scientific research and civil life,Charge-coupled Device(CCD)and lasers are widely applied in many fields for their own highlight advantage and characteristics.As a solid imaging device,CCD has the characteristics of high resolution,high accuracy and high sensitivity;laser has characteristics of high monochromatic,high coherence,high directional and high brightness.In many occasions,CCD and laser is used together,such as guidance,scout,attack,high precision molding,security,and so on.But because of the extremely high sensitivity,CCD can be disturbance and damage by laser.Therefore,studies the rule of laser damage of CCD is meaningful and important.This paper mainly studied the laser damage and response of CCD in different wavelength and laser pulse width(CW laser,nanosecond laser and femtosecond laser),including the CCD response,saturation and damage.We have obtain the picture and the damage microscopical morphologies of CCD at different laser energy(power)density.Possible reasons for the damage behavior are discussed.The major mork that have been done are follows:1?Experimental study on the 457nm,532 nm,633 nm and 660 nm CW laser irradiate the CCD photosensitive surface.We have measured the CCD response,crosstalk and saturation thresholds for each laser wavelength and have discussed the possible reasons for the experimental results.2?Experimental study on the 355nm,532nm and 1064nm of Nd:YAG laser irradiate the CCD photosensitive surface.We have measured and analysis the CCD response,crosstalk,saturation and damage thresholds for each laser wavelength and have discussed the possible reasons for the experimental results.3?Experimental study on the center wavelength of 800nm of chirp femtosecond laser irradiate the CCD photosensitive surface.We have measured and analysis the CCD response,crosstalk,saturation and damage thresholds for each laser wavelength and have discussed the possible reasons for the experimental results.We have obtain and analysis the microscopical morphologies of CCD at different laser energy(power)density.
