Due to the requirement of scientific research project of strong laser interact with material creating plasma, a pulse two-pass solid-state laser amplifier was designed, and study on theory and experiments were accomplished.In theory, the calculation model of laser amplifier was built, and simulating of laser gain characteristic was calculated by Matlab software. In the system designation, Nd:YAG gain medium and unstable resonator were adopted. The huge pulse laser was obtained with the energy of 1J,pulse width of about 10ns, and the beam quality was good. Damage surface caused by interaction of 1064nm laser and K8 glass were measured under different energy, and the phenomenon of strong laser-induced plasma was analyzed. |
