The concentration of CO2 in atmosphere keeps increasing in recent years,which will have a great impact on ecoclimate.According to the advantages of Laser radar,applying differential absorption lidar to monitor the concentration of CO2 is a good way.Although the common single-longitudinal-mode laser can't meet the requirement of Laser radar,the required single-longitudinal-mode pulse laser which is high energy and narrow linewidth could be obtained by injection-locked.There are so many advantages of the 2?m laser,like eye-safety,micro transmission loss.With the improvement of the performance of 2?m solid-state laser,an increasing number of researchers keep focus on the important application value of 2?m differential absorption radar.As we know,CO2 has an absorption peak at 2.05?m,which fits emission peak of Ho:YLF crystal coincidentally.So Ho:YLF crystal is suitable for the source gain medium of laser radar source.Theoretically,physical property and spectral characteristic of Ho:YLF crystal are introduced.The theoretical model of the continuous operation Ho:YLF laser rate equation is established,which is used for discussing the ratio of the radius of the pump and the radius of the laser aperture and the effects of cavity loss to Ho: YLF ring cavity laser performance.Finally,the model of Q-modulation Ho:YLF laser's rate equation is established and studied.For the master laser,the simulation of Tm,Ho:YLF single frequency master laser is designed.The parameters and transmittance formula of F-P are given.And in theory,a single frequency laser output of 2.05?m wavelength can be obtained by using the F-P.At last,the output characteristics of Tm,Ho:YLF laser in free-running and single-frequency operation are introduced and studiedFor the ring laser,the simulation design of Ho:YLF ring laser cavity type is carried out,which studies the stability of “8”ring cavity type and the distribution of light spots in the cavity.In the end,the output characteristics of the Ho:YLF ring cavity laser in different frequency are introduced and researched.For the injection-locked laser,the principle of its mode matching is investigated.And the laser mode matching system is devised.The optical isolation system is introduced,and the Ho:YLF injection-locked laser is realized.
