Chemical laser has high capacity and high energy,high efficiency,and wide spectral range.There is extraordinary superiority for the chemical laser among different kinds of lasers,possessing potential application prospects in the fields of industry and scientific research.Theoretical and experimental studies on the compositions proportioning of HBr chemical laser are carried out in this paper.The basic structures,operational principles and characteristics of the combustion-driven cw?continuous wave?HBr chemical laser system is introduced.The gas flow measurement is introduced.It involves the gas flow metering device,the gas flow measurement principles,and the pressure measurement.Also the gas flow calibration is introduced.This work contains the gas flow standard device,gas flow calibration principles,and the actual gas flow calibration.The choices of compression release valves and ball valves in the system are discussed.Based on the reaction principles of HF/DF chemical laser,the reaction regimes of the combustion-driven continuous wave HBr chemical laser is studied,including the calculations of energy level,vibrational spectrum,pump reaction,and gain factor.The calculating of chemical equilibrium compositions yields the expressions of molar mass and specific heat capacity of the generating mixtures,and the molar flux density of F atom.The effects of total gas flow,NF3 flow,D2 flow,and He flow on the combustor temperature and pressture,adiabatic flame temperature,degree of F2 dissociation,F atomic mole fraction,and F atom flux density are analysed.The combustion-driven continuous wave HBr chemical laser system is built and optimized.The hydrogen atom reaction technology of HBr chemical is investigated,and the solutions to the tail gas and the antisepsis of the HBr chemical laser are optimized.By adjusting the NF3 folw,D2 folw,He folw,and H2 folw,the upper and lower gas pressure of venturi nozzle,the pressure of optical resonator,the diffuser pressure,and the laser output power are measured.The effects of compositions proportioning in combustor on the relative flow rate of hydrogen atom produced by combustion reaction and the laser output power are studied,laying a solid foundation for efficient operation of HBr chemical laser.
