With the advent of the era of Internet of Things(IoT),wireless sensor networks are becoming more and more widely used.ZigBee technology,which is one of the standard of wireless sensor network industry,has the characteristics of high reliability,low cost and low power consumption,which is widely used in industrial control,agricultural monitoring,environmental protection and smart home and so on.And how to reduce the energy consumption of the network,reduce the redundancy in the network,prolong the lifetime of the network,people are generally concerned.In this paper,we reduce the data transmission distance in a many-to-one data transmission network,and improve the hierarchical tree routing protocol of ZigBee to reduce the energy consumption of network data transmission.ZigBee Network has different communication needs,according to the data communication model,it divides into many-to-many,one-to-many and many-to-one networks.Among them,in a many-to-one network(such as an environment monitoring network),specify a destination node(coordinator)to gather information about other nodes in the network.The location of the coordinator in the network affects the routing hops of other nodes to the coordinator,which affects the energy consumption of the network.In order to reduce the energy consumption of data transmission in network,this paper proposes a distributed ZigBee Coordinator selection algorithm to optimize network structure.The algorithm utilizes network structure vectors to minimize the average depth of nodes and network depth in the network,considering the energy level of potential coordinators,searching for optimum position in the network,reconfiguring network topology and optimizing network structure.The simulation results show that the algorithm can optimize the network structure effectively,reduce the energy consumption of data transmission and prolong the service life of the network.At the same time,an improved tree routing algorithm(NTR)based on neighbor table is proposed for the problem of the redundant paths and network load concentration of ZigBee hierarchical tree routing protocol.The algorithm utilizes the information of the neighbor table in the ZigBee specification,which is measured by routing hops,selects the potential optimal next hop node from the neighbor node,and improves the problem in the ZigBee hierarchical tree routing effectively.The simulation results show that the NTR algorithm reduces the traffic load on the tree link and provides a valid routing path,and improves the network performance.
