Nowadays,3D printing technology has been widely used as the economical rapid prototyping technology, which dates from the middle of the last decade of the twentieth century,it has the advantages of low cost, high reliability, small volume of equipment, low noise, fast forming speed, diversification of producing materials and so on,therefore it possesses a great application potential and broad market prospects. With the development of science and technology,3D printing technology can be applied to the fields beyond the traditional manufacturing.Micro-droplet jetting technology originated in 3DP(three dimensional printing)technology,is one of the fast rapid prototyping technologies, which has a fast development in recent years. It is mainly used in biomedical engineering, micro electromechanical manufacturing, preparation of polymer materials, biochip and other fields. The Micro-droplet jetting technology can spray very small droplets and, thus, can achieve precise manufacturing with a micro-jet head.Smart material is of great prospects of development, with the rapid development of 3D printing technology in recent years,it shows the potential of being applied to intelligent materials preparation to produce smart materials with more complex shape and better performance. In this thesis,we will combine the 3D printing technology with the preparation of smart material IPMC(Ionic polymer metal composite)together, and design the 3D printing system for the building the matrix of IPMC,which employs the Nafion solution as the printing raw material.Firstly,we introduced the 3D printing technology and domestic and foreign research status, described the micro-droplet jetting technology and its research progress, and carried out the introduction of this research significance and the main research contents.Secondly, the system was designed. We designed the micro-droplet jetting 3D printer mechanical structure, hardware circuit and the main parts of the circuit. Also, the components of the software system were studied.Additionally,we studied the working principle of the printhead and piezoelectric jet theory, and associated simulations were conducted using MATLAB and ANSYS.Then the working platform of the 3D printers was mathematically modeled in Matlab/Simulink environment and the performance comparison between the conventional PID controller and fuzzy PID controller was conducted. Then the internal structure of the experiment platform was studied, the relationship of temperature and resistance were calibrated to build the experimental circuit.Semi-physical simulation experiments were carried out to verify the feasibility of the fuzzy PID control method. Then the fluid supply module and droplet observation module were developed, respectively.Integrated with a commercial micro liquid droplet showerhead and a power supplier, the micro droplet jetting for liquid module was finally established. At last, the main contents and the deficiencies of this research are summarized, the prospect of further research is also presented.
