FPGA research and development process can not be separated from both software and hardware support.The hardware components,includes FPGA chip devices and the corresponding down loader,the software part of the FPGA design process,including the corresponding EDA tools.FPGA chip database is a link between hardware and software,so a simple,accurate chip database description method is an important part of FPGA efficient development,while the efficient management of the chip database information is also important.Due to the simple structure of the existing chip structure description method and the low efficiency of information management,this paper presents a new chip structure description and information management method.This method improves the accuracy of FPGA chip database information and realizes the efficient and intelligent management of chip database information.In the new chip database description method proposed in the third part of the article,we mainly improve the method by two ways,one is the continuous splicing characteristics of the horizontal and vertical repeating units in the chip structure and the other is the existing lines and poly line connection units existing in the chip.This method puts forward the concept of hierarchical modeling of FPGA chip structure,divides each module existing in the chip structure,sets the different layer numbers for each layer structure unit,and sets the standard module size,the same module unit size of the same level,the composition of the structure can be different.In this paper,to solve the problem of structure module different from that of the standard module,the filling structure unit is established,and the units with different sizes of the standard modules are merged,filled and decomposed separately.Through the layer number and port number the two aspects of the chip structure to achieve the connection between different modules.In the fourth part of the article,an efficient management method for information description of chip database is proposed.In the fourth part of the article,an efficient management method for information description of chip database is proposed.With the advantages of extensible markup language XML and the characteristics of XML path language XPath,one FPGA chip database management tools is designed and implemented in Linux environment.It provides the functions of tree display,visual editing,intelligent query,difference aggregation and fault-tolerant processing of chip data,and finally realize the intelligent management of chip database information.In the fifth part of this paper,a large number of experiments were designed to verify the feasibility and function of the chip structure description method and the chip data management tool.
