With the development of Information technology,especially computers and mobile communication technology,the GIS applications are expanded,and more and more location-based services are provided.However,since people spend 87-90%of their time on indoor activities,the outdoor map can no longer meet people's requirements.Therefore,indoor map is emerged and developed rapidly.Based on the indoor map,the services of indoor positioning,indoor navigation,and location information can be realized.Althouth the technology of indoor map develops rapidly,the data processing tools for indoor map is developed slowly,and there is no valid data delivery platform,in which data can be delivered to different indoor map service providers according to their requirements and standards.In this paper,the indoor map data processing and delivery systems are designed and implemented based on the original indoor map construction system.Firstly,the background of indoor map is illustrated.Secondly,the concept and applications of GIS,popular GIS software and common data storage formats for indoor map are introduced,and the ArcGIS software platform including ArcMap and ArcGIS Engine components is described in detail.Thirdly,we introduce the data characteristics and design requirements of indoor map,analyze data storage structure for indoor map,and show the necessities for developing indoor map data processing and delivery systems after analyzing the shortages of original indoor map construction system.Fourthly,we introduce the design and implemention of indoor map data processing and delivery systems in detail.The works for the former system includes requirement analysis,system design,design of configuration files,and implementation of the six modules which are the configuration files parsing,PNG/SVG image generation,DetailInfo2.mdb generation,JSON file generation,SQLite file generation and system log.The works for the latter system includes requirement analysis,the study of data standard proposed by indoor map service providers,system design,design of configuration files,and implementation of data input,data processing and data output modules.Finaly,we conduct a series of tests for the two systems to verify the correctness of their functions,the test results meet the expected requirements.In the indoor map data processing system designed in this paper,the output specifications can be configured flexibility;meanwhile,in the delivery system,indoor map data can be generated according to the standards and requirements of the indoor map service providers.The two systems have been already delivered indoor map data to three map service providers.The indoor map data processing and delivery systems can promote the flexibility of indoor map maker efficiently,and solve the data deliver issues caused by unified data requirements and standards of indoor map service providers,hence,it has a large market demand and application prospects.
