During the operation of the network,a large number of alarms are generated every day.The generation and propagation of alarms are caused by faults in the network.If the faults are not treated in time,the security and stability of network operation will be greatly affected.Alarms tend to be repetitive and transmissible.That is,if there is a fault in some managed resource of the network,before the fault is disposed of,the resource will continue to issue lots of alarms,while at the same time,other resources which have contact with the fault resource will generate a large number of alarms.With the expansion of the network size,the management and diagnosis of the network fault are particularly important.Simply relying on human resources is not quickly or accurately enough to locate the fault in the network.Usually,we define the process which many alarms are combined into an alarm with more accurate information as alarm correlation analysis;and define the process which determines the corresponding fault based on the result of the alarm correlation analysis as fault diagnosis.At present,there are many methods of alarm correlation analysis and fault diagnosis.This paper analyzes and researches some common methods of them,and mainly introduces the method based on resource association model.The fault diagnosis system designed and implemented in the thesis is used in electric power communication network practically and is the branch system of electric power communication management system.Electric power communication network is a very important network constructed by State Grid Corporation.It is connected to the various professional electric power communication equipment,carries all kinds of electric power communication services,and provides the basis and guarantee for the operation and electric power production of state grid.The electric power communication network is composed of a large number of communication equipment and optical fiber cable/microwave circuits,which are connected with each other.The fault of one component may be associated with many devices and links,which lead to a large number of alarms.Combined with the physical resources and logical resources of the electric power communication network,this thesis designs and implements a fault diagnosis system based on resource association model.Firstly,the background and significance of alarm correlation analysis and fault diagnosis are explained in terms of operation and maintenance.Then the common analysis methods are studied and compared.After that,the thesis introduces the electric power communication management system and the managed resources in the system,constructs its correlation model with the analysis of physical resources and logical resources.At last,it analyzes and realizes the function of alarm correlation analysis,fault diagnosis and rule based management and points out the deficiency and the improvement direction of the system.
