With the rapid development of the Internet technology,the traditional technology of flow generating based on common server can not meet the needs of high speed network environment.The technology of flow generating which can provide more effective packet processing and faster flow output is increasingly becoming the trendency.In this paper,technology of flow generating is comprehensively studied.Technology of flow generating based on software,hardware and distributed system are discussed.Their advantages and disadvantages are compared.OCTEON task scheduling mechanism improvement strategy is proposed.According to the demand of system,a set of flow generating system based on OCTEON platform is designed and realized.Experimental environment is set up to test the performance of the system.The main work has the following aspects:1.On the basis of fully understanding the data stream processing mechanism of OCTEON platform,the deficiency of the traditional task queue model in multi core platform is analyzed.An improved algorithm for task queue model based on OCTEON multi core platform is proposed.2.A set of flow generating system based on OCTEON platform is designed and realized.The system can generate the corresponding data flow according to the configuration of the user and can feedback the status of the task to the user.At full speed,data packets can be pushed at the rate of 20Gbps,and meanwhile,the system still has a high stability.3.System testing environment is built in our laboratory.Through testing,the system is proved to be good enough in function and performance.
