With the rapid development of computer technology, security of modern encryption techniques which relies on the computational complexity is being gradually reduced. The security of network communication in need of the protection of modern encryption techniques is also affected.Although security could be improved by means of increasing the key length, that is not a radical cure, since the length of the key could grow longer and the cost of encryption get higher with the development of computer technology.Meanwhile, new algorithms to solve complicated problems are constantly updated with the progress of science and technology, resulting in the reducing computational complexity on which modern encryption techniques rely.Quantum key is a random key generated by the quantum key distribution technique, which is one of the main research areas on quantum communication technology, and makes it possible to generate identical quantum key on both ends of quantum key distribution nodes without the concern of security. This paper aims to apply quantum key to real telecommunication networks. The hierarchical delivery model of quantum key is introduced to solve the problem of low rate of quantum key distributing systems. And the quantum key distributing system is applied to instant communications systems in this paper to further enhance the practicality of quantum key distribution technology. As part of the research on quantum switching nodes of the quantum key distribution technology, the host control software on quantum switching nodes was implemented in this paper, improving the reliability and usability of quantum switching nodes.
