After decades of development, especially in recent twenty years,Internet has greatly promoted the development of the society and profoundly changed people's life. However, the rapid development brought the current TCP/IP based Internet technology serious challenges such as scalability and security. The emergence of SDN(Software-Defined Networking)brings people new sulotions to these problems.SDN is a new network architecture which decouples control function from network devices and forms a central control point. With the separation of control function and forwarding function, the underlying network equipment is ed to network services. In addition to this,SDN provides unified APIs and people can use these to schedule network resources flexibly. With the rapid development of Internet technology, more flexible applications appeared, which had a higher demand on dynamic allocation of bandwidth.Allocating bandwidth dynamically according to user demand is of great significance since it can save cost and resources. However,in current TCP/IP networks,end-to-end dynamic bandwidth allocation is difficult to achieve due to the diversity of network equipment and the complexity of configuration and management.Nowadays the emergence of SDN provides us an opportunity to realize this goal.Due to the features of centralized control in SDN,controller would limits the size of networks and multi-domain SDN is inevitable. This paper studies the bandwidth allocation mechanism in multi-domain SDN so that controllers in different domains can cooperate with each other to realize cross-domain end-to-end dynamic bandwidth allocation without exposing details of topology and network resource. The paper studies and designs a bandwidth allocation meachnism in SDN which can allocate bandwidth automatically according to the requests of users in single domain SDN.After that, this paper designs a bandwidth allocation cooperation meachnism in multi-domain SDN,which allows controllers in different domains to cooperate with each other and achieve cross-domain dynamic bandwidth allocation without exposing detail. Finally we implements the meachnism proposed in this paper and experiments have been done to evaluate the mechanism. The experimental results show that inter-domain bandwidth allocation mechanism proposed in this paper is able to achieve the goal.
