With the development of science and technology,people have high requirements in living environment increasingly which leads to the concept of smart home.In order to solve the difficulties of inconvenient in wiring,the solution in smart home that with short-distance wireless communication to replace the original wired communication spread out slowly.The introduction of wireless communication technology can solute wired network wiring difficulties and difficulties in maintain,which become a research hotspot in the smart household,industrial control and so on.The recent wireless communication technologies mostly have ZigBee,WIFI,RF wireless technology,Bluetooth and so on,and the RF wireless technology is implemented through the RF transceiver chip.The users of the application do not need to understand the communication principle and working mechanism,only need to configure register of the chip to send and receive data,which lead to its use very simple.At the same time,this kind of chip has the advantages of low cost,long transmission distance,obstacle strong ability,which made RF wireless communication became a hot research topic.The combination of current RF circuits and SOC integrated circuits gives more application scenarios to RF wireless communication and promotes the development of social intelligence.But this also leads to the diversity and complexity of the RF communication model.As a result,the completion of radio frequency circuit configuration and switching is particularly important.Because of the hot research of RF communication and the rapid development of integrated circuits.In this paper,the SOC chip RF915 control circuit adopts the method of digital integrated circuit in the design and implementation.The RF915 mainly consists radio frequency front end and digital control circuits.And the digital control circuit uses the SPI interface for data transmission.Part of the data transmitted is decoded to complete the RF front-end registers configuration,which controls the operation mode of the RF front-end,which makes frequency range to be configurated and changed programmatically and increases the flexibility of RF front-end.Other data SPI received are used as the data for the DAC communication.Because of the different speed between DAC sampling rate and SPI adopted,a SRAM memory storage is used to save data received by SPI,and the usage of the fifo ring structure which is designed to save or read data in an SRAM makes the data sampled effectively and accurately.At the same time,the SRAM memory uses the memory compiler's IP core,which reduces the development cycle and the cost of design.In this article,we introduce the whole architecture of the SOC chip RF915 firstly,and then under the support of the theoretical of circuit bus structure,communication interface circuit,the IP core reuse technology and so on,we select the suitable digital control circuit design.Then the digital control circuit is designed by the Verilog HDL language,and the design is simulated by the NC-Verilog simulation tool,and the simulation waveform is also given.We also introduce the design of digital control circuit and the function simulation.Then,under the SOC ENCOUNTER tool,the physical realization of the circuit is carried out based on the standard cell design mode of GSMC 180 nm.Finally,we make a summary and prospection for the above work.
