Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks(WMSNs)are used to collect,process and transmit large amounts of audio and video information.It has the characteristics of large amount of data transmission,high real-time,at the same time,the network can meet the requirements of QoS of the different application and ensure the reliable transmission of the multimedia data stream.Most existing WSNs routing protocols can not be directly applied to WMSNs,and need to study QoS-enabled routing algorithms suitable for WMSNs environment.In this paper,it mainly studied the routing protocol in WMSNs environment,designed the related algorithms,and designed the simulation model on OMNet++ tool to validate and evaluate the algorithm.In this paper,the characteristics of WMSNs are analyzed,and the problems faced by WMSNs in routing design performance optimization are summarized.Aiming at the problem of WMSNs network poor scalability and uneven distribution of energy consumption,a local centralized WMSNs clustering algorithm is proposed considering the residual energy of the nodes,the available memory,and the distance between nodes and Sink.Aiming at a variety of application scenarios of WMSNs,a WMSNs QoS routing algorithm based on ant colony algorithm is proposed based on the proposed clustering algorithm.In order to meet the QoS requirements of application services,it define the objective function by use of multimedia sensor node residual energy,delay,packet loss rate,available memory and other indicators,adjust the pheromone concentration increment on the data transmission path dynamically,and divide the ants into forward ants,backward ant,maintain ant and data ants on the basis of the implementation of the function to solve the specific problems in the routing protocol.Based on the OMNet ++ simulation tool,the modular WMSNs simulation model is designed.The data generation module,the message queue module and the wireless channel module in the simulation model are implemented.Eventually,the simulation model is used to simulate and verify the clustering algorithm and routing protocol.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the network energy consumption and prolong the network life cycle.The routing algorithm can decrease the network overhead and transmission delay,increase the packet forwarding rate,and meet QoS requirements of a variety of applications in the WMSNs environment.This paper is supported by National Natural Science Foundation Project(No:61261001)”Research on key technology of data aggregation and transmission in WSNs and its application infacility agriculture in semiarid areas".
