Research On The Change Of Traditional News Production In The Big Data Age

In recent years,with its application in more and more various fields,big data technology has been experiencing a rapid development.Meanwhile,“big data” has became an indispensable key word in the discussion of future development of society.In the field of Journalism and Communication,the changes brought about by big data has already emerged.For instance,the rise of data journalism,the emergence of robot writing and the boom of intelligence recommendation engine had a great impact on news media.However,according to the current research situation of the domestic news communication,the majority of the researches were discussing the theories of data news or big data while few explorations were conducted on the influence of big data on journalism and communication from the perspective of news production.This paper mainly employs case analysis and literature research.Based on the analysis of the characteristics and application of big data technologies,this paper analyzes the influence of big data technologies on traditional news production from the following three levels: the collection,the processing and the distribution of news information.Also,a comparative analysis between the traditional news production mode and the production mode based on big data technology is made.It points out that although big data technologies have brought some positive changes to the traditional news production,it led to some problems such as data privacy protection,news information copyright and so on.In order to explain the news information copyright issue caused by big data technologies,with case analysis of the "Headline Today",the author thinks that the media can solve the copyright problem of news information through the establishment of the copyright of news information database.Besides,this paper explores news value in the era of big data,providing the idea that changes have taken place to some extent in the subject of judgment and the elements of news of the traditional news value.Subsequently,this paper analyzes the reasons for the change of traditional news production from the perspectives of information technology,user and media organization with the conclusion that the main reason for the change of traditional news production is the inspiration and realization of personalized needs of users who are empowered by the big data information technology.Finally,based on the advanced practices and cases in the current domestic and international media institutions,this paper puts forward the feasible development path for traditional news production.In the mean time,this paper emphasizes the application of big data technology in the future of traditional news production,establishment of one's own platform for the users as well as the cultivation of the talent for big data.
