With the wide application of virtual reality,the simulation of realistic scenes is more and more concerned by researchers.In the field of animation and computer games,people as the most important part of real life,high-quality character simulation animation,especially large-scale crowd motion scene construction has become one of the main standards for measuring the quality of the work.However,using of general character animation synthesis method to complete the crowd motion simulation need a large amount of computing and consumption of memory resources.The time and space constraints on characters cannot be handled very successfully.This paper proposes a synthesis method based on crowd motion patches.First,we use PCA method to get the characters' optimal motion model in a single crowd patch by entering a set of same semantics data motion as sample information.Then based on Voronoi diagram,we present an algorithm which controls the character's position in the motion crowd.Using this algorithm,we can get a steady crowd motion model and detailed motion information on each character.Finally,taking into account the random interactive motion of the crowd characters,we propose an algorithm that presents the interactions of characters of the motion crowd by adding interactive concept in the steady crowd motion model.After the above steps,we build a large-scale crowd motion scene.Experimental results show that this method does well with simulating a large-scale crowd motion scene and reflecting the detail of the interaction among multi-character.It achieves controlling of the characters of the crowd easily.
