It is necessary to do experiment in the sea or lake in underwater acoustic engineering practice. It is a very important issue in experiment that how to record various information of the experiment field roundly and adequately so that the datas of the experiment and parameters such as environment and location can be repetited and playbacked better in the follow-up work. The Embedded Technology has an extensive and in-depth development, and it has become "the pillar of the post-PC era". Systems designed by it can be the good solutions for the design of underwater sound instruments with the advantages of smaller in size, lower power dissipation, higher reliability and maintenance-free, and higher requirements for real-time.In this paper, a set of data acquisition device suits for underwater acoustic field experiments is designed with the Embedded Technology. Firstly, state of development of data collecting home and aboard is reviewed, and feasibility of system design with the Embedded Technology is demonstrated. On this basis, features of the test are analyzed:processor OMAP-L138 is adopted as the core of the system for calculation and system scheduling for Linux,4-channel data acquisition chip and the "Beidou" system are used for accomplishing acquisition for acoustic signal for exact latitude and longitude position.Meanwhile, the system accomplished the function of storing datas by SD cards, sent the datas to the superior computers through the Ethernet interface as well as receives the commands. The phonic acquisition channel is also designed and it will be stored with the datas which are acquired according to the time in order to repet the field situation. At last the test result of software and hardware debugging is presented. It can be seen that the functions of the system are normal and steady as well as accomplishing field data acquisition for the underwater acoustic.
