In this article,TED is the case for studying the strategy of elite medias in the network age.The target is that by analyzing all aspects of strategy elite media in mass media such as TED,as well as in-depth analysis of the history of changes in the technological innovation of the mass media,leading the development of transitional media,especially the local elite media.In the main part,firstly the core concept is defined that what an elite media is,and the present situation of elite medias on line is described,within the reason got analyzed.From the 3rd chapter,TED is the case studied,whose producer,process,strategy,innovation and so on are researched and analyzed in detail.In the 4th chapter,basing on TED,the future of elite medias is discussed in the Mass Communication.In the 5th chapter,some advices are given for our local elite medias.The research techniques mainly are descriptive inventorles,historical research and literature research.The researching background is network age,and the way of research is definition-situation-case analysis-giving advices,some theories of Mass Communication are as theoretical basis,and some economic theories are also used.In this article,the influence of technological change is revealed,and the rule of history of medias is refered to,after the comparative analysis and summarizing,the conclusion is got.Study shows,that regardless of the past or the future,nature of mass communication is the dissemination of information,mass media's value is based on the value of passing information,no matter how to change the mass communication,this nature is never changed.Advances in technology is to improve efficiency and meet the needs of users'experience at a higher level,so the elite media in the future should be loyal to the professionalism of the media,real and timely,accurate and objective will be the most valuable information to the audience,should also take up as mass media should bear social responsibility and historical mission of excellent cultural heritage.This study has some limitation in the background,the innovation are taking such a case of elite media that TED is a futuristic,focusing on the development of elite media-oriented in the post-industrial times,and taking into account the current commercial market laws,and more realistic in practice.
