Microwave Radiometer is a kind of passive microwave measurement device,it’s just passively accept random noise, target and its surrounding environment radiation itself is not launch the microwave signal.Compared with active microwave remote sensing, microwave radiometer has the advantage of light weight, small volume, low cost, power consumption province, and able to work day, around the clock for remote sensing. These advantages make it very widely used. However, due to the limitation of the calibration source and radiometer system affected by the fluctuation of the gain and the machine noise, radiometer as there are many problems has not been well solved, such as long-term stability, high sensitivity(resolution)temperature, high absolute accuracy of measurement, etc. In this paper put forward a kind of can eliminate the system gain and noise of the machine swings radiometer,a new system of experimental prototype was designed, and its performance was tested and analyzed. At the same time, this paper also discusses the principle of the method and application of microwave radiometer to measure the ice accumulation in the potential ice accumulation zone. The main work of this paper includes the following several aspects:1.The development trend of microwave radiometer technology had been expatiated in detail in recent years.2.The principle of microwave remote sensing was analyzed.3.This paper introduced the knowledge of the jet ice accumulation and analyzed the comprehensive forecast system based on the microwave radiometer.4.The theoretical foundation of the new system radiometer was analyzed in detail, and the single channel experiment was designed on the basis of the prototype, including microwave switch and how to select the reference noise source, and high frequency receiver front-end and low frequency circuit design,etc.5.This paper introduced and analyzed the measuring results and performance indexes of the new system radiometer test.
