Ambient backscatter wireless communication system enables two devices to communicate using ambient RF as the only source of power. The system leverages existing TV and cellular transmissions to eliminate the need for wires and batteries, thus enabling ubiquitous communication where devices can communicate among themselves at unprecedented scales and in locations that were previously inaccessible. The application prospects are very broad, and the system promotes the development of mobile Internet of things. This paper first introduces the system structure, working principle and the system's advantages relative to the RFID system.Secondly,by analyzing the feasibility in three different signals:the 4G signal,Wifi signal, and terrestrial digital broadcasting signal, which selects the terrestrial digital broadcasting signal as the system's work environment signal;then,in the digital broadcasting signal environment, the paper introduces the ambient backscatter system's transmitter and receiver,The design of the transmitter includes : the design of the backscatter modulation circuit, the selection of the baseband cod ing.By analyzing the error detection capability and the anti-noise performance of three encoding methods, which tells FM0 coding is most suitable baseband coding for this system. In this paper,a new demodulation principle is proposed and an ultra low power demodulation circuit is designed for three different transmission rates to demodulate the backscatter information. The feasibility of this scheme is verified by experimental simulation.
