Along with the arrival of information ages, the development of science and technology, the popularity of the internet,Internet of Things(IOT)as a crucial part of information technology, has drawn much attention.Internet of Things,as the name implies,is that everything is connected to everything else through the internet. As the key technology of IOT,radio frequency identification(RFID)technology is increasingly favored by the society.RFID uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and communicate with tags attached to objects, without a mechanical or optical contact. However,it's impossible for powerless devices to communicate with each other in RFID systems, which cannot achieve the real IOT.At the same time, there are some shortcomings such as short communication distance, large path loss and devices strongly depending on power. These shortcomings have been restricting the development of radio frequency identification technology.Fortunately,in recent years, ambient backscatter technology, which is derived from RFID,has achieve a milestone breakthrough in system development and technology realization.Ambient backscatter technology utilizes ambient signals(such as television&broadcast signals, mobile phone signals,Wi-Fi,etc.)to create a new type of communication system. It achieves the purpose of energy harvesting and signal transmission,by backscattering ambient radio signals. On one hand,it can make the devices to get rid of dependence on the power supply. On the other hand,it also significantly extends the communication distance.Ambient backscatter technology can also support peer-to-peer communication between nodes, fully extending the scope of RFID applications and the scale of deployment.By virtue of its novelty and passivity, ambient backscatter technology has attracted many researchers' attention. In this paper,we construct two novel wireless communication system models based on ambient backscatter technology, and formulate the corresponding communication protocols for each model. The theoretical analysis of the system models and the methods of evaluating the bit error rate(BER)are also given in this paper. At last, the availability of two proposed system models is verified by comparing the theoretical results with the simulation results.
