The fiber ring is a ring coil which is made of optical fiber in accordance with a certain rule.It is the core component of interference fiber optic gyroscope.The wound quality of the fiber ring is a key factor affecting the performance of the fiber optic gyroscope.Due to the influence of random factors such as fiber diameter error?static electricity and internal stress,the fiber wound defects will occasionally appear in the actual winding process.The detection of defects in optical fiber wound defects is a necessary part of the production process of optical fiber ring,and it is also a necessary condition to ensure the quality of optical fiber ringing.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical value to carry out the detection of fiber ring wound defects based on machine vision.Combined with the characteristics of optical fiber winding and the requirement of defect detection,the whole design of optical fiber wound defect detection system is completed.The selection of camera and lens in the acquisition system and the light source in the lighting system are analyzed scientifically.The influence of different light intensity on the image quality of optical fiber is analyzed by using the resolution evaluation function,which provides the theoretical basis for the selection of light intensity in the illumination system.In order to eliminate the interference of noise in the image of the optical fiber,the image processing is studied in this paper.The optimal image processing method is established by experiment comparison and analysis.Then,the ideal image contour image is obtained by Gaussian filtering,gray scale enhancement and image segmentation.This paper introduces the method of winding the optical fiber ring,and puts forward a general dynamic detection algorithm of optical fiber surround system based on the characteristics of winding.Then,it studies the algorithm of precise positioning of fiber edge and the algorithm of defect discrimination.The influence of different light intensity on the detection error is analyzed by experiment,and the rationality of the lighting system is verified.The system was experimented from the three aspects of false detection rate,detection accuracy and detection speed.The experimental results showed that the detection accuracy of the system can reach 0.03 mm,the false detection rate is 8%,and the detection speed of the system can meet the real-time requirement,so it proved that the system has certain feasibility and practicability.
