Current era is an era of rapid development of science and technology.Especially,aerospace technology has made great progress with th e efforts made by many countries for space exploration or military equipment.Near space vehicles and missiles with characteristics of high speed and strong m aneuvering emerge in an endless stream.The United States has been at the forefront of research for this kind of target.In recent years,the U.S.m ilitary equipment in the Asia P acific region has become more and more frequent,posing a great threat to the security of China and its allies.The capability of maneuvering and penetration attack is greatly enhanced for near space vehi cles,accordingly,the difficulties of target positioning and tracking also increase,and the target tracking is mostly relying on radar measurements,therefore,for high speed and strong maneuvering target,the research of radar tracking with high precision and stability becomes an important part of defense and military strategy.In this paper,based on the pr inciple of maneuvering target tracking for radar sensor,the target tracking system with high speed and strong maneuverability is studied and discussed.At first,this paper analyzes the two important aspects of the maneuvering target tracking algorithm,and then enu merates several typi cal maneuvering target model and filtering algorithms,analyzes their characteristics and applied range,and compares the performance of maneuvering target tracking system s respectively using dif ferent maneuvering target models and different filtering algorithms.Then,the paper analyzes the reasons for the poor performance of the tracking system,and introduces the improved maneuvering models and divergence suppression filtering algorithm s according to these reason s correspondingly,especially,introduces the interactive multiple model algorithm in detail,and propos es two new multiple model algorithms base on a daptive turning model,the s imulation performances show the two algorithms are effective.At last,in the application background of near space hypersonic vehicle,the paper analyzes the differential equations of motion of the whole ballistic trajectory,utilizes the genetic optimization algorithm to design an overall trajectory which can accurately reach the predetermined position,and tracking it using radar sensor,analyzes the shortc omings and improved methods of typical maneuvering model for this kind of target tracking.The paper also analyzes the common calculation method of aerodynam ic coefficients,and proposes a new ballistic trajectory tracking algorithm based on aerodynam ic coefficients identification,and verifies the superiority of the new algorithm.
