The Design And Implementation Of Application Management In Home Open Platform

With the advent of "cloud era" and the increase of family communication bandwidth,Internet-style innovation is gradually into the home network.More and more businesses begin to focus on the smart home market.Therefore,the smart home becomes the next blue ocean market.In view of the fact that domestic smart home is in the initial stage,we need establish an open platform which has multimedia entertainment as the breakthrough point,form industry standards,build an ecosystem of the smart home,and bring a systematic solution of the smart home.Based on the current market background of family information and operator's needs,the Home Open Platform(HOP)project access and manage various family services.Taking internet television as a breakthrough,it provides integrated information services for home users.In the platform,application is an aggregate of family business.Therefore,it's very significant to providing uniformed and effective management for application.Based on actual requirements of the project,this paper studies the related problems of application management and presents a set of solutions about it from operation and maintenance management to installation.Using modular design,the application management is divided into three subsystems,including Application Management Website,Application Remote Service Module and Terminal Processing Module.Using SSH framework,Application Management Website achieves an interface management of application-related data and application remote tasks for administration.As a bridge between the management website and the STB,Application Remote Service Module designs a filter of remote tasks with decorator pattern,and defines a REST-style interface to interact with set-top-box.As an application management middleware of STB terminal,Terminal Processing Module can analysis and execute applications,and achieves the installation,update and uninstallation of applications.With cooperation of each module,the system has implemented all functional requirements of application management and has passed the performance test.
