To meet the demand of massive data and higher data rate in the next fifth generation mobile communication system (5G), high frequency com-munication has attracted more and more attention as one of the key tech-nologies. High frequency channel measurement and modeling are the foun-dations of wireless transmission technology and system design. Meanwhile,as one of key scenarios, indoor scenario has attracted more and more atten-tion from researchers. Therefore, based on radio wave propagation theory,faced with the requirements of future 5G, this thesis dedicates to the inves-tigation and research of the propagation characteristics and channel mod-eling of high frequency in indoor scenarios. Some solid achievements have been obtained in this thesis and the main work includes the following three aspects:(1) The wireless channel measurement platform at multiple-frequencies is built. We formulate measurement plans, complete the work of measurements in different scenarios, including different frequencies,different antenna and different transmitter position, and finally get the original I/Q data. In order to know the property of high frequency potential spectrum, measurements at different frequencies has been done to analyze the relationship between propagation characteristics and frequency. Besides, influences to propagation property bring by horn antennas and biconical antennas are been done.(2) Based on wireless communication theory, we build a MATLAB software analysis platform to work for channel parameters extraction and data analysis. The main channel parameters, including power delay profile, root mean square delay spectrum, path loss and power azimuth spectrum, can be extract from the channel impulse response. These parameters can be used to establish basic high frequency channel model.(3) Analyzing propagation characteristics in door scenarios. According to the channel parameters obtained, we can analyze propagation property of indoor scenarios by combining mathematical tools and real measurement scenarios. The result includes relation between characteristics and frequency, the difference influence between two kinds of antennas and the impact brought by distrinct transmitter position.In summary, a multiple-frequencies channel sounder is built. On the ba-sis of this sounder, a serials of field measurements are conducted, e.g. in-door LOS and NLOS. Lastly, the propagation characteristics of channel parameters are given.
