Along with the rapid development of mobile communication technologies and data services such as mobile TV,on the one hand,the conventional cellular mobile communication services mainly for single users,and can not provide broadcast services.On the other hand,television broadcast networks and other broadcast networks provide users with wide coverage and the same content broadcast services,but do not provide data transmission services to a single user.Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service(MBMS)technology allows the mobile communication system network to support broadcast,multicast and unicast services.And eMBMS technology is an enhanced broadcast multicast service technology defined in 3GPP R9 protocol.LTE-A terminal protocol conformance testing is an important part of the healthy development of LTE industry chain.The development of technologies such as eMBMS makes new demands for LTE-A terminal test system.For the foregoing problems,based on theoretical research and system design,analysis and verification work,this thesis completes supporting of eMBMS test function for terminal protocol conformance test system.This research is derived from the project "TD-LTE-A terminal protocol analyzer based on TTCN".Firstly,this thesis outlines the development of LTE/LTE-A mobile communication system and focus on the eMBMS technology of LTE-A system.Also,the hardware and software architecture and module function of the LTE-A terminal test system are described in detail in this thesis.Secondly,in complying with industry standards and based on the protocol conformance test specifications,this thesis studies the demands of the LTE-A eMBMS network architecture,high-level protocol stack and low-level protocol stack.Then it analyzes the difference between the terminal test instruments and the protocol stack of base station during system design,and also designs and implements each layer of the protocol stack based on demand research.Thirdly,this thesis tests and analyzes system units and functions by designing test cases,and the results show that the system designed meets the protocol.Finally,a conclusion is drawn.It points out certain deficiencies of designing the terminal test instrument,and gives the prospect of terminal test instrument.
