With the development of economic and improvement of life,people have less and less time to take care of their family.This makes the demand of monitoring home condition,looking after children and older people more and more intense.At the same time,the rapid development of electronic information and popularity of smart mobile make it possible for people to monitor home situation anytime and anywhere.This paper is aimed to implement a home video monitor system.At first,status of monitor system has been researched.Based on this research,a movable home monitor system which applies to various kinds of terminal is put forward.Next,the mechanical structure and control hardware are set up.The robot is driven by four motors,and velocity variation between left and right wheel is used in steering.The hardware of control system is made up of wireless module,control module,driver module,dc gear motor,power supply.Then,software of home robot is designed and implemented.This system adopts B/S architecture and consists of two parts:the remote control system and the video transmission system.The remote control system is made up of client part,server part,slave part.Due to the limited resource of embedded devices,a rich client architecture based on CGI and AJAX is put forward.In order to weaken the effect of different terminals on webpage,responsive web design is used.In order to reduce resource usage,MJPG-streamer is used in video transmission development.Finally,the system is tested.During the test,the video is clear and the control of the robot is flexible,reaching the requirements.The video monitor system designed in this paper realizes the function of monitoring home anytime and anywhere.It has reference significance on remote control and video transmission.
